Infinite Campus: How to set up integration

This guide shows you how to set up Parents' Meetings with Infinite Campus integration, allowing you to transfer your teachers, parents and students.


Setting up OneRoster 1.2 API in Infinite Campu


Log into Infinite Campus and create a new OneRoster 1.2 Connection on OAuth 2  for Parents' Meetings by going through the following steps:

  1. Click Add Application, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Connect to Other Applications.
  2. Enter an Application Name. The image displayed for the vendor is the first letter of the entered name.
  3. Generate credentials.

After creating a new connection for Parents' Meetings (be sure to tick the Client Enabled checkbox), proceed to the next section below. 


Setting up Infinite Campus in Parents' Meetings

Log in to Parents' Meetings as an admin. If this is the first time you have used the system you will likely be presented with the Getting Started wizard. Alternatively, go to the navigation bar on the left and click Settings, then Data Import Source and select Infinite Campus from the available School Information Systems: 

The page will then display a box where you can enter the details which you obtained earlier, along with any other details required.

Click Next and complete the process. 


Syncing your data from Infinite Campus

Note: In order for students, teachers & parents to be accessible via the Infinite Campus API (and thus synced to Parents' Meetings) they need to have an Infinite Campus Portal account.


For OneRoster 1.2, users need user accounts to be included in OneRoster. User accounts can be created individually, en masse, or automatically.

Once Infinite Campus Integration is set up you can run a sync from Infinite Campus at any time. We recommend doing so whenever you are setting up a new conference/event to ensure your data is up to date. 

You can also run a sync if you have new or changed data in Infinite Campus that needs to be brought into Parents' Meetings - including when you have a live conference/event. Be aware that if a teacher or student is removed by running a sync then any bookings involving them would be deleted from the system.

To run a sync with Infinite Campus:

  1. Click Data on the navigation bar to load the Data Dashboard.

  2. Click Run on the Data Dashboard.
